Ross Systems held their worldwide users conference November 11 through 14 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno Nevada. Alexander Ring, President of Synectics Group, was a guest speaker in the Industry Track Breakout Sessions. Alex's presentation focused on trade promotion issues faced by Ross's food and beverage clients. The presentation topic entitled, "BOGOs, Two-fors and Other Trade Promotions" discussed the implications and recommended response to increased government scrutiny on trade promotion practices, including Sarbanes-Oxley, FASB rulings, and SEC channel stuffing investigations.
